Entertaining | An Ikea Place setting

Everything in my house is from Ikea, and I love it. We've only been in the house a few weeks, but we had our first little impromptu family meal this weekend. I took precisely two photos. Not the most amazing table ever, would be better with this matte black  silverware, but I thought I'd give you all a chance to see those 79 cent dishtowels/napkins doing their thing! Love the plates too. The napkin rings are Nate Berkus for Target. Ikea Lack Table $7.99+ Paper Mojo Marbled Paper $9.99 (This is not the exact paper I used, because I bought mine 2 years ago. I think mine was only $3 or $4 a sheet... you … [Read more...]

Cause literally every single person I meet tells me they want something "Modern, but..."  I want modern, but comfortable... modern but elegant, modern but funky, modern but sophisticated, modern but warm... etc, etc, etc...  It almost means nothing anymore. In fact, unless someone specifically states that they want traditional, they pretty much want modern... What is modern? Well, it means different things to everyone obviously, and just like purple there is a good modern and … [Read more...]
