Jeanette Dalrot is the restaurant designer behind beautiful places – NAVY in NYC is one of them, and that’s been on my inspo board for a while. She’s known for a super hands on approach. She will make things for every space she designs herself- acid washing each mirror, hand stringing chairs- or hunt down vintage pieces, one by one. Jeanette is from Stockholm, so her aesthetic is definitely Scandinavian based, with a little extra. Her place was featured in T Magazine, and I wanted to share.
Couch is a craiglist find, she reupholstered with discount nude velvet. I’m digging that nude velvet for real.
She Memphis DIYed the console and dining table. Coffee table was made with wood balls from Crate and Barrel and a piece of plywood. I think it’s genius. These are vintage kitchen cabinets that she found and painted white. Collections of prints and things ripped from books = good. She put that backsplash up. Letters from a flea market. Stuff. Refrigerator door collections are the best. I wish mine was refrigerated. Vintage mobile – hell yes.
Have a great day everyone!
