My favorites from THE ONE ROOM CHALLENGE.

ORC_lowres-5 This One Room Challenge thing, in which various design bloggers commit to transforming ONE room in 6 weeks and chronicling it on their blog, it’s a cool idea. I’ve seriously been contemplating what to do in the kids room for 2 YEARS, so I doubt I could pull anything legit together in 6 weeks. I mean, unless it was for someone other than myself. Then I could probably do it :) But some of these designers did more than just paint and zhush, some of them took on KITCHENS! BATHROOMS! PLUMBING! Is this stuff just easier to do outside NYC? Because I remember waiting for my kitchen for 6 months when I first moved in. I can’t even figure out who to call to get my carpets cleaned.

Anyhoo- this is the second year of the challenge, and I’m proud to say my prints were featured in not one, but TWO rooms. The first room is by Jessie Miller, aka The Design Daredevil and its like, 1000x every level of awesome. I LOVE the combo of black and browns, woods and brasses. It’s glam and masculine, just the way I like it, and she edges it up with some truly RAD art,  which includes my Adidas print – but I can’t even tell you how much I love the other art she chose for the room too. Like, I want it. I also now want to spray paint on some of my fashion photography. That will happen.

How good is this!?! VERY.

Then Christine of Bijou and Boheme — who continually supports my work- she even took it on The Steve and Chris show, a TV show in Canada, she’s such a good friend — used this print from Paris in her bathroom renovation. She didn’t get a chance to have it professionally photographed, which makes a HUGE difference, because she had to jet off to London to accept a blog award. Go Christine! Here are some shots from her bathroom renovation:  chrsitne-2 DSC_0114-615x947

It has a pink neon sign in it, hence the glow. That floor tile is amazing.

I also REALLY liked these rooms. A bedroom by Elizabeth of Stone Textile. That is one sexy cool room.  Stone-Textile_ORC_121 Stone-Textile_ORC_13

Office redo by Waiting on Martha. This makes me think I should probably get a move on fixing up my art studio. I could probably design the whole place with just cast offs from my house!  ORC26 ORC17

Naomi of Design Manifest redid an ENTIRE KITCHEN!!!! And it’s lovely!
