The Lonely Gallerist.

Yesterday Nicole Gibbons of So Haute and I hit up The Armory Show. Very quickly I became fascinated with people watching. Watching people react to art, get close to it, look at it. It’s so interesting. But then also watching people try to sell it, by basically sitting stoically in a corner is pretty interesting too. Is this one of the only jobs on earth where the job requirement is looking bored and uninterested and/or completely consumed with your cell phone? HA! I love it. ANYWAY, I started to shoot this little series, and it got me really excited. I think the photos came out pretty awesome, and kind of speak for themselves. So here you go – people watching at the art show:

Who is your favorite? Mine are the two photos where they are looking at me deadpan! Happy Friday!

  2. Fantastic photos Nicole – so funny & perfectly capture the absurdity of the art business!

  3. These are really fun. Do you feel weird when people catch you photographing them? I wish I didn’t, but I kind of do.

Yes, but in this case I just pretended I was photographing the art!
