On Monday I had the privilege of shooting some behind the scenes photos at my friend Rosie Assoulin’s third fashion presentation. Can I just say two things, one, it’s Rosie’s party and we are all just drinking at it, and two, this was my most fun day ever. Being charged with capturing the little things?!?! HELL YES. I can do that. Plus, I can’t get enough of Rosie’s aesthetic. I want to be the woman Rosie imagines in her head when she designs these clothes. (I always used to say that I aspire to be the type of women who wears matching bra and underwear sets every day. I finally accomplished that, so now I have a new goal?!? HA.) Rosie makes clothes for cool girls. The shapes, the lines of the clothing. The comfort. The clothes are just so chic, so American, by way of Paris maybe. Nothing is try hard… I said this last time, but these are the clothes that our granddaughters will steal from our closets one day. These are the clothes a woman could buy at 15 and wear until she was 70. These clothes would look equally chic on Grace Kelly as on Rihanna. They are the definition of Modern Fresh Timeless. Only Rosie pairs ball gowns with Manrepeller designed Supergas! Which was brilliant. Plus, I really wanted to take home those wood sticks. I’ll just let you look at the billions of photos now.
See unobstructed views of the clothing on Rosie’s site. Congrats girl!
