DIY ART: RORSCHACH.

My friend Rosie is one of the most talented people I know. Everything she touches with her hands is somehow made beautiful as if her own happy beauty somehow descends on it. Know what I mean? Those people who shine light? And are good at every single creative task they attempt? That’s Rosie. Anyway, a few days ago she instagrammed a photo of her son and husband playing in his room and I knew I just had to share this with you on the blog. Of course I instantly knew she made that awesome wall of rorschachs. Why this is awesome, aside from being creative, bold, colorful, simple and cool – is that she fills the WHOLE WALL. What a mere mortal would do is throw 3-4 or maybe even 8 of these on a wall in their kid’s nursery and be done with it. And while that would be nice, I think it really transcends the DIY category when it’s wall to wall. Rosie made this using paint and paper, but she suggested using un-stretched canvas if you really don’t want the paper to have a crease. I love the idea of involving the kids in the process. (Although I made a pinhole camera *with Cookie* this weekend, which turned into with her…in the room. I may or may not have turned on the cartoons so that I could undertake two hours of folding and gluing.)
Go big or go home, RIGHT?

What a great impact, not to mention, conversation piece/wall. Love it!
