The Colors Duke, The Colors!

This is how my crazy brain works:

“I LOVE COLOR. It’s so fun and happy, and I’m instantly excited by it.”

“No. I don’t, I HATE color. EW, bright colors, gag.”

“You know, I think I’m really loving color again.”

I think I have to deal with it in carefully doled out doses in every place except art. How ’bout you?

Unrelated to the post but- I hope you all had a great weekend! It’s my last week in NYC before I head out to #suburbia for the summer… I usually dread it because I like New York, hustle and bustle and work, but I’m actually looking forward to a nice long break from city life. It literally feels like there are 20+ more hours in the day over there. I mean, I can’t find time to even get a manicure here, and out there I have time to actually literally
DO NOTHING. Amazing. Plus, I can really get crazy with the projects and the paintings out there.

What do you have planned?

color, the delight of our eyes, is like dessert-best served up in managed doses. the david hicks entry says it all. we want the color-painting or sculpture, perhaps-but after space and proportion are managed with light and shadow.

I can totally relate! I’m always all…I love color! Lets paint! No, I like a clean white palette. No paint with color…no, clean white palette! And on it goes!
