Diane Von Furstenberg’s home in NYC.
“When I was young, I lived like an old woman, and when I got old, I had to live like a young person,” Diane Von Furstenberg says about her new penthouse, the jewel at the top of her 6 story live/work space in the Meatpacking district.

The penthouse, which she calls her “treehouse” replaces her former digs on Park Avenue. I have to say, I absolutely love this apartment. For her.

I adore the Franz West chairs on that oversized leopard carpet. Amazing.

How many people have an Andy Warhol portrait of themselves?

Im not crazy about the tented bed, but think about it, there needs to be a way to close off the sleeping area from the massive skylighted roof. I imagine it would be too drafty, cold and scary without the tent.
On the other side of the tented bed and screen is this bath… I don’t find this situation ideal… its probably cold when you get out of that bath, no? But like I said, the space is so charmingly “Diane Von Furstenberg” it’s amazing, and thats such a special thing to have in a home.
What do you think?

I love this so much and I totally get why she calls it her treehouse, it looks like it would be in one of those exotic resorts where you stay in a treehouse, amazing!!!!
No walls at all?? love it.
There are aspects of it I like…zebra chairs…but not totally in love with it.

I live few blocks from her flagship store and pass it often, I had no idea she was living on top!
I adore loft like spaces. Would have loved a copper bathtub, she is so elegant!
Happy Valentines Nicole!

Am i the only one that hates this?
No! I hate it too! Totally dizzy. Prints on prints on prints. Total overkill…
I don’t love it. There are some things I like but overall I’m unimpressed.
Like I said in the post, its not that I like it because its so beautiful unattached to Diane Von Furstenberg. But I think it captures her spirit so well, and thats why Im glad, for her, that she lives there.
I really don’t like it at all because the is no flow. I love Bohemian and artsy, but this looks silly and contrived to be different. I’m happy for her and glad she’s enjoying this part of her life, absolutely!
