Now, my goal when making paintings, is usually not to make things that make you think: AHA! That would be perfect in my kids room! But thats exactly what I thought when I started working on these.

I originally bought them so I could paint them all black and white and put them together as a checkerboard or some kind of minimal thing. Then I started playing with the colors and well, I got a little carried away. Its a pretty easy DIY, although you need patience and a place to let all the paintings dry. Just pour a more liquified paint on to a canvas and turn the canvas until it makes a blob you like the shape of. You could go clean lined and even paint each one completely by hand.

I ended up making 36 little 4″ x 4″ of the above  paintings, and they are going to hang above Jojo’s crib.

I normally don’t like to hang things above babies cribs or beds because it scares me, but these are little, so if they do happen to fall off… no biggie.

(Im probably going to fix the ones that cracked, don’t worry.)

And I have big plans for the walls in that room too. Stay tuned.

And even though Im hanging this in the kids room, imagine if I did about 200 of these squares? How awesome would that look on a massive wall somewhere?
