He who shall not be named.
A few weeks ago I did a post on this gorgeous restaurant in NJ called Avenue. Despite looking all over their website for the name of the designer, I couldnt find it. Then one of my friends told me who did it.
But he doesnt have the restaurant on his website either. So maybe we are wrong or maybe it just didnt make the cut.
Im gonna name him now though, although I may be wrong about Avenue.
It’s by design rock star David Collins of David Collins Studio.
The studio does mostly international commercial design… as in, some pretty major clients: The London Hotels, Scarpetta in Miami, Nobu in London, The Ritz Carlton in Bangkok etc…
Lets take a look:

Massimo, The Corinthia Hotel, London
Scarpetta, Miami
Private Residence
The Ritz Carlton Residences, Bangkok.
Bangkok Residences
Detail shot, Scarpetta Miami.
Bob Bob Ricard Restaurant, London
The Connaught, Mayfair, London.
The Connaught Bar, London
The Connaught Bar, London.
I like seeing residential design much more than commercial, but I love all these photos. Especially the ones with people in them. That photo of the boys in their robes is soooo cute. Also love the dip dyed curtains, Sconces in the last photo, The white 4 poster with the green couch….striped fireplace.
Thoughts?

I’ve admired his work for a long time without knowing it!
It’s delicious!!
David is one of my favorite designers. I love his work.
Loving those dip dyed curtains!
And all the velvet.
Those dip-dyed curtains have put me into a how-to tizzy. Thinking, though, that mine might turn out like some sort of tie dye nightmare!
Did u see my post about dip dying a robe? It was so easy. U can definitely diy those curtains. Just cover the part you want to keep white with a plastic bag.
Thank you Nicole,
I will add The Avenue…. Those dip dyed curtains are at The Apartment on the roof of The Connaught Hotel…… It was a bit tricky……. But worth it if people notice and like it!
Thanks to everyone
