I’ve always loved Alexander Wang’s showroom, designed by Ryan Korban. It’s so simple with just the right amount of style. It kinda has the “Im too cool to have a decorator style” style. You know what that is right? It’s that laid back, relaxed decorating thats not really DIY/crafty… its just so minimal or casual that it somehow comes off as cool. Its like the room equivalent of a T-Shirt and jeans. If you are a person with great style, it looks good. If you arent, it just doesnt.  An example is Kelly Bensimon’s Hamptons house. (I do like her NYC apt too… even though its a bit cooky. “Cooky not coocoo” ha.)

Anyway. Thats what that room has. Cool factor. And now onto the outfit. I love all things slouchy. Mostly cause Im a sucker for comfort. But also, cause is there anything worse than looking like packed sausage in your jeans? NO. (Disclaimer: I very often look like packed sausage in my jeans.)

And also- Speaking of Alexander Wang- he is another person who should NEVER EVER TWEET A PICTURE OF HIS WANG! Aside from being a politician, wouldnt you think that Weiner would have been so relieved that he got past being teased about being a Weiner that he would know better than to do anything even remotely weird with pictures of his Weiner? (Also anyone named Dick, Johnson, Dick Johnson, Peter, Rod, Spike…etc. Im sure you guys can think of more!)

Non-sequitur:  I never ever thought I would say this but lately I have deep burning desire to own a big worn out slouchy black leather sofa. That’s one of the hazards of writing a design blog. As soon as its on the web you want to change everything!

And also, every single candid photo I have seen of a stylish chick in the last few days has had a phone in her hand. I’m gonna do a mash up one day.
