I’m a child of the 80s.
It may have been hideous, but it sure was fun.
Well, its 28 years later and I still like neon and big hair. Oh and I know this post makes no indication of this, but the whole point was: Its my birthday. My worst day of the year. Its up there with New Years, but on New Years everyone else gets to feel nostalgic and disappointed with me. Today, its just me. And its not that I dont like getting older, I actually LIKE being older. More credibility, better skin, less hormones… but birthday gets me down… I guess it reminds me of all the paths not chosen… I dunno.
I changed my mind. Im going to TRY to have fun today;)

They say it’s your birthday, it’s my birthday too. Seriously, weird coincidence. Also, I’m pretty sure my husband rocked those rainbow SoCal Surf Wear pants.

Happy Birthday! I can totally relate and always dread when my birthday is around the corner. I always say the light shines too brightly on that day, it totally gets me down. BUT that’s nothing some wine (or some snuggles with an adorable new baby boy) can’t fix. Hope you find a way to enjoy it!
Enjoy…find a Pink cake…. but I am with you on the birthday thoughts…somehow the very very fun part did blow away in the wind back a bit (like in our teens!) and that is a ways back for me LOL!

Happy birthday Nicole! I turned 28 on April Fool’s day and it was the first time I was a tad depressed so I get it, but no wallowing aloud
I enjoyed the 80′s and all its glory as a teenager. There was something so surreal about that era. Nothing like a good Duran Duran or Depeche Mode song to bring it all back!
