See My Apartment in RUE Magazine!

If you havent noticed- and some of you have- I have been purposely holding back showing you new pictures of my apartment for a while- and thats because I wanted to save it all for the new issue of RUE!

I dont even know what to say about it, other than, WOW. Im so overwhelmed with everything. Thank you all so much for all your kind words… really.

I also want to give a huge shout out to all of you who helped me along the way. Rebecca June – I literally ran every single purchase and decision in the last 2 years by her! Erica of Design Blahg who interviewed me for the article and helped me buy flowers and style, Visual Vamp, Jenny of MFAMBNick Olsen all helped guide me along the way- you guys all rock. (Not to mention all my real life friends that suffered through every moment of this renovation! Sarah, Caroline, Claudy, Vivian, Grace, Regine- who styled me- Anita, who did my hair, Sasha – who did my makeup….Mom + David, my husband- who put up with me! Thank you all!!! )

Anyway- To see the actual spread you have to go check out RUE MAG – PAGE 100. But here are some of my favorite outtakes from the shoot!

And here are some behind the scenes pics that my husband took during the 8 hour long photo shoot with Emily Anderson and her assistant!

8 AM: Hair & Makeup….

9 AM: Getting my portrait taken. Never in a million years did I think I would ever publish photos of myself 8 mos pregnant. BUT OK.

9:30 AM Cookie playing with flowers…

9:45 AM: Styling and deliberating:

10 AM: Shipped husband and daughter out of the house so we could get some WORK done!!!

4 PM: Cupcakes…. TIRED!!!!

Thank you to everyone involved!!! And I hope you all enjoyed seeing my home. Now I can post pictures of the house EVERY DAY again! Woohoo!

I love the dishes and gold flatware on your kitchen countertop. Where are they from????

    • Nicole Cohen says:

I think I put the link a few comments up. The flatware is from Barneys, and the dishes are Rosenthal and are available in Bloomingdales.

  7. Was amazing Nicole – congrats!!

  8. I just found your blog via Simply Grove. I adore your apartment, and you look gorgeous 8 months pregnant! Well done! I noticed your gold flatware, and was wondering if I might ask where it’s from! I was looking for a New Years Day party, but never could find any I liked! -Too bad I didn’t find you sooner!

    Hi Nicole,
Your apartment is beautiful. I love the wallpaper in Cookie’s room…would you mind sharing where you bought it from (other than Anthropologie)?

    • Nicole Cohen says:

I bought it from a woman in Brooklyn who has a company called “Elegant Walls” out of her house… She doesn’t have an email address, and I dont want to post her phone number on the web without her permission. You can email me, and Ill give it to you!

You can also order it directly from Cole & Son if you are a designer.

One of my new sponsors Stacy Ayash Design is an interior design firm with a showroom that allows you to buy trade products including wallpaper from them, so you can email them at design@stacyayash.com.

      Hope this helps!
