A few months ago, a dear friend of mine, Valorie of the Visual Vamp contacted me with a little project: “Can you make me a big ass tray for a client?”

Why yes, Val, yes I can.

Valorie has this amazing client down in New Orleans. They have been working on reVamping (hahaha I’m so punny!) her living room. They chose this awesome french-y ottoman and they needed a GIGANTIC lucite tray to sit on top of it. All ottomans need trays so that they can function.  They also wanted it to have a little edge to it, so Valorie told me to embellish it as I saw fit.

My partner Grace and I put our heads together and came up with the design. 30″ x 30″ and spiked on two sides. Glam lucite + rocker spikes = The aesthetic of the Nickel & Grace line.

Luckily, Valorie and her client were thrilled with the results!

Should we spend a few minutes here to discuss how beautiful the room that Val designed is? I absolutely love the mix of colors, textures and metals. I think the room looks so well put together and styled. So impressed. Really.

We liked the “big ass tray” so much that we took our own photos before we sent it to New Orleans:

This is just a preview of what is to come but rest assured… Its gonna be awesome. Boxes and pillows too!!!

Our website should be up soon, but in the meantime, I will be putting the products in the etsy shop.  (They are all still handmade by me!) A lot of people emailed me asking when the new lucite was going to be in the Etsy Shop, and the answer is: I have been working on getting better products and better tools so that I could seriously wow you all!
