My New Shona Sculpture

I bought this Shona Sculpture (a tribe in Zimbabwe) today from the Hemingway African Art Gallery… I’m in love. You can see more of their collection HERE. Brian, the shop’s fascinating owner (who leads rescue missions for animals in Africa as well as safaris), includes a photo of the piece with the artist in the purchase, in this case a man named Liberty Tshuma, who also signed the piece.

Its going to sit dead center on my dining table… Im going for this look: Well, not exactly… but you get it. One sculpture. Gets the job done. Simple and impactful.

P.s. I am in love with those chairs too.

Also, I moved ALL my design stuff out of my house and to the studio…. WOOHOO!!! No more factory in my dining room!
