I need to know what you think about this:
The latest installment from the fantasy land that is Miles Redd’s imagination featured in the NYTIMES.
While there are elements I like…. Like, the Ikat chairs… The placement of the art, the yellow door…. The entire vignette below:
There are other things that make me want to run away. FAR AWAY and forget I ever saw this:

Those multicolored chairs… vomited in my mouth a little. But the floor: HOT!
Obviously, Miles is gung ho into the 80s decorating… but still…

This looks like the color palate of an 8 year old boys room from 1985. Other than that…. I dunno…
What do you guys think?

I like the yellow door alot and those ikate bergere chairs are amazing. I like the bedroom as a whole actually and the floors rock. Everything else, thumbs down from me- the palate reminds me Harry Potter colours or something.
Yeaaaah…I am not a fan of the 80s color scheme. This is not my kind of look!
I feel like I’m in a cartoon…
I’m with Christine. The bedroom is great, especially the elements already mentioned. The floor is way cool. The rest is ick. Doesn’t strike me as Harry Potter though…
Also, as I look closer, I feel like some of the elements in the back section of the last picture have potential. I hate the red/green/blue fabric on the chairs and pillows, but the couch and blue and white chairs look like they could be cool. I also don’t hate the coffee table. And the side table looks like it could be interesting too. I wish we got a better shot of that area.
I actually like the bedroom, but i agree with you — its a mad 80′s moment in the rest of place.
If a headache could be upholstered, this would be it.
Floor = awesome.
Yellow Door = hot.
80s Decor / Color Scheme = Bunk.

AWFUL
the green pendant light is not centered over the table, i don’t think? that is bothering me!
it’s super gay.
Looks like the Simpsons have finally updated their home decor.
Hey, the 80′s were better than that! MFAMB – even the gays wouldn’t like this. I can honestly say that this is *rap. It has no point of view and the colors are just for shock value. The bedroom is a hot mess. The bed and its “treatment” especially annoy me. All this weirdness, then an Upper East Side old lady monogramed boudoir pillow on a Leron coverlet. I can say this because I was one. Who IS this guy and why does everyone think he is so great?
makes my feet hurt and gives me a headache…..if i say more, you will wash my mouth out!
Hmmm. I like parts of it, like you said. Certain elements are nice, but the entire thing is … puzzling. I adore me some Miles Redd, but in small doses.
And this comes from a girl who LOVES color! :-\
I feel like it may have been inspired by Disney or one of those really awful Looney Tunes characters.
