Improvements in Cookie’s room.

Remember when it was the black hole of the house?

Well a paint job and some frames later and its already looking much better….

My mother was horrified when I told her I was doing a gray in a baby’s room, but this gray is so neutral it almost looks white. It’s just a non-entity which is what that wallpaper needed.  It’s Behr’s Silver Drop.

(I decided to try the paint before wallpapering the rest of the room or framing out the existing wallpaper, which I may still do.)

I framed her art in two Ribba Frames. Her rocking chair is from Ikea as well, the crib is Netto from  DimplesBaby and the rug is from Stark. The little piggie doll was a gift.

Stay tuned cause the other side of the room is undergoing the makeover next!

Love it! still adorable and now with a modern twist, and what’s more sentimental than having your own art hung in your delicious babydoll’s room!

or did cookie make those? the pink one i know she did.

  5. Oooo, lala. I like it. We were just talking about kid style on your purple post so it is funny you should choose gray for Cookie’s room because that is exactly what Em wants for her bathroom.

Do it. The one I used is really pale and nice… it barely looks gray, its more like white with a dab of gray in it. HUGE improvement….

  6. Nicole Cohen says:

Yes, Cookie made both the paintings…

  7. SO cute!!!

  8. There are so many amazing shades of gray that could fit perfectly with any themed room. It’s my absolutely favorite wall color. We’re currently in the process of painting our office/guest room, which will eventually be a nursery so I’m on the hunt for the perfect gray. I think your just might be it.

  9. Adorable. Love the artwork.

  10. Love it, and the art adds so much, especially when you know it’s her own creation.

  11. We all know Cookie is the best artist in the family. Sorry but its true. :) The room looks so much better. Not to mention, I love a pig.

That is true! I am grooming her for a life of starving artist bliss!

Such an improvement- and it was you who suggested gray! I SWEAR it never would have crossed my mind!

  12. It would have. I cannot wait to see the rest. BTW, you should check out my blog tomorrow.

  13. Nicole, it’s beautiful. Great neutral backgound selection; her art really sings on it. Really good work.

  14. Looks great. Feminine yet modern. Would love to share it with my readers on http://www.nurserynotations.com once the rest of the room is complete!
