This Room: Yes or no?
The apartment of Reed Krakoff, CEO of Coach. The man and his interior designer wife collect art and design. Some people loved, some people hated it.
I could do without the sheep, but I DO love that Alexander Liberman’s dot painting and the Garouste & Bonetti’s console and chairs.
See more of the house HERE.
Thoughts?

I love everything* there (yeah, including the sheep), but NOT all together. It does not look like a cool gathering, but like a mishmash.
*Well, the chair kinda gives me the creeps
you are kidding…aren’t you? awful. the rest of the place. few appealing spaces – no thanks. much money, little taste and no sense of what makes a home, a home, not just a visual installation.
You dont have to be anon just cause you dont like it! Its cool…
I really like that painting and console. Other than that, I sort of agree with you.
for a child yes.
Those sheep stools would look hot in a kids room, the painting is killer the rest poop.
Love the artwork collection, however the rest of the design work is too much a mishmash!

I find a lot to love in most of the rooms – did you see the sofa the kiddos are standing on?! – but the rooms make me feel uncomfortable somehow. In the particular photo you feature I adore each piece, but, again, not all together. I like the colors, though. Black and white with a punch of color has always been my fave.
No. Kind of like the picture but, like you said, pretty much anyone could do that! Creepy sheep. Btw, your art is getting better and better!
This is how rich people live.
And I like the sheep – they are iconic modern design pieces.
xo xo
It is?
love the painting, HATE the sheep. wtf?!? sorry, stuffed life-size animals do not belong anywhere but a child’s room!
the chair is interesting though
kind of looks like a playroom. is it?
this screams, “i have f you money.”
the painting, yes. the entire apartment-complete w/ the dressed up kidbots- is just obnoxious.
just because you can’t doesn’t mean you should.
I showed this room to my grandma and she loved it. So now I know Im not crazy.
Absolute YES. Everything about it is beautiful. I don’t know that I would do this myself, as I am not that risque, but I’m glad someone had the guts to do it.
I live with three designers and all three loved it.
[...] the Krakoffs… By Nicole Cohen, on September 27th, 2010 I know, I know… we already met them, but I have way more information for you today. A whole comprehensive little photo gallery of this [...]
it is great!!! i loved it…i loved how u mixed the painting with the colorfull console!
Ok I’m late to this party but I have what to say. This house is like a circus gone bad. Just because you find pieces you love doesn’t mean you should put them all together. These people have NO censor! With the exception of the master bathroom, with the sitting room which I love and Maude’s bedroom, which is completely luscious and whimsical, this is just a prime example of people who have TOO much money and don’t know what to do with it!!
Yes, I love b & w but the sheep…not so much
I loved the sheep !
