Holton Farms…. NYC’s Coolest Farm Truck.
Yesterday, I spotted this truck just a block away from Bryant Park.
Wanna know what it is? Its a farm Truck. Holton Farms, a family owned farm in Vermont, has multiple farm trucks throughout the city, dispersing their farm fresh produce as well as serving as CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) drop off and pickup points through out the 5 boroughs.
I love this idea, I love the ingenuity, and I love love love the fact that their farm fresh produce can be hand picked by me on the internet (via their CSA program) and can be picked up just a few blocks from my house.
I’m joining!
(They only operate until November, which still leaves me wondering WHAT THE HECK TO EAT IN WINTER! There is NO LOCAL FOOD!)

I have the solution: our growing seasons are reversed down here in Florida, so my CSA ran from October to early June. Move south for the winter!
I would love to!
Thanks for the post, Nicole. It was great meeting you! Just to clarify, this is our one and only truck for now…we just started in May. Anyone who goes to our website can click the map and see where we are and when we are there. We also tweet where we are located and what is going on, @holtonfarms.
Stay tuned for Winter news. We are working on a few solutions.
See you around the truck!
Thanks for clearing that up Adam! I’ll see you soon!
