TEAM MARBLE! Though your honed marble makes me wish we ditched the polished in our kitchen…
We always recommend marble on every project. it is so beautiful, it is hard not to!
xoxo

As you know, I agree! I love the 4th and all the tables, but honestly I like the marble in your kitchen (from what I can tell) and in my bathroom better.
I never knew I was in love with marble, but now I think it has been my desire to own a marble something. I’ll take that French Kitchen Table to start thankyouverymuch.
Who told you no marble? Marble is the bomb!
Everyone. People begged me not to do it. Including the contractor and installer. FOOLS!
is that first picture your kitchen?
it’s beyond beautiful.
No… I dont know where that one is from… I realize that it was confusing. You can see my kitchen on the my apartment page.
search “marble top table” on craigslist and i am certain you will find something delightful and cheaper than any of that.
that said…someone needs to send me those marble cubes.

You are probably right… You are the craigslist goddess… Those marble cubes rock my world. As does that crate and barrel kitchen table.
I love marble truely, madly, deeply. People have put the fear of marble in kitchens in me though?
I’m about to take the plunge with countertops in a home-under-construction . . . do you have any regrets about your marble ? Any suggestions ? We are thinking black honed granite around the coutner tops and a huge marble island .. . . Carrie
I actually REALLY LOVE honed black granite! Its such a sleeper hit!
So for the Island, I always love calcutta gold- thats what I have, but there is also just plain Calcutta – the veins are black instead of grey/gold which may work better for you.
You could also always do carerra- its always gorgeous.
Honed is much more durable and much easier to manage in a kitchen.
