Inspirational photo galleries on my blog.

Remember the good old days when you could go to the Domino website and browse their thousands of photos by room, color, keyword or anything you could imagine? Well, those days are no more, BUT I figured out how to add photo galleries to my blog. So now you can come look at all of my favorite inspiration photos on one page, not spread out over blog posts.

So far, I have Bedrooms, Living Rooms and Dining Rooms set up. But only about 5% of my photos are added. I plan on adding more as well as labeling them, eventually.

This is a HUGE project, but hopefully, if I don’t get arrested, it will be awesome!

  • Your images are all divine, thank you for sharing x

  • Nicole,
Your site is gorgeous as always…and I need your opinion and direction. It’s my recent understanding that all the great photos we paste on our blogs are actually in direct copyright violation even though we give credit and link-backs. What’s a blogger to do? Ignore this until the owner/creator of the image complains? Please tell me what you think..

I know… a lot of bloggers are torn on this issue… I kinda feel like bloggers posting gorgeous inspiration photos isn’t really hurting anyone. (Unless you post pictures from a mag that is still on the stands.) Most bloggers dont make any money off their sites and even if they did, I dont think that the owners of those photos mind. If they do, they should by all means speak up. It will probably end in some kind of Metallica Vs. Napster and the people who listen to music debacle.
I dont really think design blogs are in competition with each other. Most people are MORE than happy to read as many sites as they can! So one blog “borrowing” photos from another or writing on similar content doesn’t take away from the other blog… Ya know? Kinda like, the people who read and write these blogs are so OBSESSED with design that they cant get enough of it.

Also, I have had bloggers post photos of my home on their sites, with and without my permission and it has never offended me. Those photos are “copywrited” as well…

      What do you think?

  • This post is beyond awesome. I am always wondering what to do and what not to do so I will follow some of these tips.
