The most gorgeous thing I’ve seen lately.

Is this renovated house in the Hampton’s by Steven Gambrel. I die. I really do. There is something inspiring in each and every room.

From the first angle of the living room it seems pretty but just an average normal pretty.
Then you get to see the other side of the room. This gorgeous, rich and sexy color combo: Black, white, grey emerald green and orange! 1

The kitchen makes me sick with envy. I LOVE those black subway tiles with the white grout. LOVE.
Kinda dont love those benches with the table though. But what do I know. ~
This is the master bathroom. Silver travertine is one of my all time favorite stones.

This was the one room I wasnt fainting over. I dunno…. its just ok.

BAMMMMMM!!! This hallway is phenomenal!!! This is an idea anyone can copy and its freakin gorgeous!!

Now, do you really want to just kill yourself? Because this dressing room is the best thing I ever saw. I just wish the master bedroom matched it a little bit better or was as nice as this.

This is a guest room. I love it.

What did you guys think of this house and of this month’s Elle Decor in general? Honestly, I thought this house was the saving grace of the issue and it kind of makes me feel like we all reamed Lonny a little bit too hard. All of the other homes had the same, been there, done that feel…

I dunno… maybe all the mags just hit a little bit of a jag this month?

  • steven gambrel is a genius. that kitchen i posted on a while back..and still remains one of my all time faves.
i adore the benches in that kitchen. they are unexpected and lovely. agree about the bedroom…it’s just meh. and i don’t think we were too hard on lonny at all…in fact these magazines need to improve or they just won’t be around much longer. it’s the computer age and all. we have access to EV REY THIIIIING!!!!!!!!

I think I just dont like those benches with the table….

Anyway, about Lonny… it was really disappointing. But so was Elle Decor…. You know when you see a Hollywood chick flick or action movie and you can swear you have seen it before but you haven’t… that’s how I felt about all those houses… they were all so generic in their own genre. Not that I would complain if I lived in any of them… just that they aren’t showing us anything NEW and EXCITING….

  • Yes, what happened this month with Elle Decor? It has been a while since I’ve since an issue that bad. I miss Domino too…

i love that hallway filled with red picture frames!! i had just ripped that picture out of elle decor to show my friend overseas! i was planning on scanning it to show him! i loved it and his apartment is modern and perfect for it. especially since he takes so many photos!
