I just got my diploma and other confessions.

Yes I just got and framed my diploma. Why, because I am a very lazy person. I had some library books in my basement since 2004. So I didnt get my diploma until last month. The hubby insisted I get it framed, but to me, its just a symbol of what an ass I am, in so many ways. So I really hate looking at it.

I also routinely buy myself presents. Like this horse print I found at a local old prints shop and had framed. Dont know exactly where to hang it yet. But I love it.

I had a little bit more of a shopping spree yesterday…

Lanvin- 60% off. Keep or return?

Also– to those (few) of you who voted for me, thanks!! To you others….you suck. In case you all didnt realize, this whole thing is bullshit…. you can vote for as many people as you want… Though I am grateful for the few more people it brought to my blog. You have till 5 pm!

Oh – one more confession- I have had my nose broken and re-fixed 3x.

  • Your Loving Husband:

You neglected to mention that your diploma is from Columbia University.

Since you are too embarrassed to say it, I will.

  • Ha ha! Your husband is funny.

I say keep the Lanvin only if you will actually use it. This is the problem I ten to have. I like to buy things because they were such a good deal and not because I think I will get use out of them.

What is up with the Homies? I cannot even log in today and I thought you could only vote once. I want to vote for you so if you can send me a link to do so I would appreciate it.

How did you break your nose that many times? Cameron Diaz much?

    xoxo

  • the bag is beautiful. keep it. the print is awesome.

the degree is amazing. although i wouldn’t hang it up.

that’s kinda weird. but nonetheless proud of your achievement

which is kinda fucking balls out fabulous.

  • Nicole Cohen:

Hey- you don’t really have to vote for me….

I hung the diploma in my little dressing room vanity area. Not in the main area of the house. Ew. It’s gross.

My nose is “delicate” … One nose job, one break on the back of someones head in college, other time my husband elbowed me in the facewhe I was sleeping.

I also bought boots Giseppe for 300. They are hideous. A must return. I was lured in by the sale.

  • irene:

love the bag! keep the bag!!!

    congrats on ur COLUMBIA grad!!

    • Nicole Cohen:

      This is so
embarrassing. The point is I graduated almost 6 years ago as just picked it up!!!

  • 1. I love you even more now that I know your middle name is Honey. That’s some dope shit yo.

    2. Keep it, wear for 29 days or so until you have to return it.

    xoxo

    • Nicole Cohen:

I tried to take the pic so that you guys wouldn’t be able to see that!!! What did you blow it up?!? There you have another confession. I was too embarrassed to admit it!!!!

  • Don’t be embarrassed; in fact…i would soooo drop the nicole and go by honey from here on out. I’d die to have honey as my name.

I’m officially changing your name regardless, honey.

    muah!

    • Nicole Cohen:

Can I explain the origin of this? I come from a family that traditionally names its children after the grandparents. and there is an order. first born male and female after the fathers parents, then the next are named after the girls parents. My father’s mothers nickname is honey. Her real name is Norma. My mom was a renegade and named me Nicole Honey.

I have a first cousin whose name is Honey. On the birth certificate.

Next, My daughter is named after my husbands mom– whose real name is jeanette, but because she was a premie was called “cookie” and now everyone calls my kid cookie, on threat of disinheritance. I kinda like it by now, but its not on her birth certificate and it will not be on her diploma.

I guess these types of nicknames were very popular in the 30s and 40s and now we have to suffer.

  • I love it regardless. If only I were as lucky…

  • I was into oil painting and kept everything I did in the storage closet…now, I’m bold and keep it in the bathroom. I actually sent a painting to a friend for a wedding present…can you believe that?! Ten years later I casually asked for it back so I could replace it with a real gift..they didn’t have it (hence, they probably tossed it..I was such an ass to send it!)

    • Nicole Cohen:

Oh man! I know someone who is an artist and she once gave someone a painting as a gift. A few years later she got into a fight with them and went to their house when they werent home and grabbed it!! Nuts!!

Btw, my entire life, my mom kept my paintings in a stack in the basement. HARSH!

  • SGM:

    KEEP IT.

Now I want to change my middle name to Honey.

  • Laura:

    keep the lanvin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
