A few weeks ago, the girls over at The Skirted Roundtable had a very spirited conversation about the August Issue of House Beautiful and its “What makes a room great?” tag line. First off, they were none too pleased that the room was declared great because of who it was by “Bunny Williams.” Second, they all just did not seem to like it. They thought it was too cluttered and unedited. I, on the other hand, LOVED IT. I saw it in person at the Kips Bay Showhouse, and I must say, it really stole the show. The room stood out for its boldness and its grandeur. The room feels much different in person because it is HUGE! The ceilings were probably 20 feet high!! The wall color was breathtaking and those botanical pictures stole the show!! Aside from that, I loved the ottoman, loved the dining room with one side set for dinner, loved all the color combinations, including the red backs on the turquoise chairs.
