Ever since last year’s Kips Bay Show House, I have been obsessed with metallic paint.
Sarah Story’s Dedar Alahambra covered hallway with a gleaming gold ceiling had something to do with that.
Champagne colored walls here in using Benjamin Moore’s “Veil Cream”

For the apartment, I was dying for some level of sheen on the walls. After pouring through tons of wallpapers, I finally decided to try out the BM metallic paint. But the silver was too dark, and the white pearl that I test painted on one wall began to seem greenish after a few days. So Lance the painter and I combined two gallons of paint in the bucket, Silver & White Pearlescent. He applied the paint with a heavy strie using a Ralph Lauren texture brush from Home Depot.
