It’s the Little Things
Sometimes, especially in these times, it’s the little upgrades you make to your life that really make a HUGE difference. They don’t have to be expensive, but every time you see or touch one of these hidden treasures in your house, you will smile.
1. Slimline Hangers- add about 3 feet to your closet’s hanging room.

2. Maldon Sea Salt. I ONLY use this salt. You can buy it on Amazon.com.

3. J Crew Cashmere Sweaters
4. Great Knives as in Cutco
5. An organized pantry. Empty all the boxes you buy into Click Clacks with printed labels

6. A label maker with which to label your Click Clacks, shoeboxes etc…
7. Great sheets. You spend a third of your life in bed, dont skimp. You can get really great sheets at Marshall’s Home Goods.
8. Pandora.com. Personalized radio stations are the wave of the future.
9. Raika Photo Albums. Print out your damned pictures already!
10. Monogramed Stationary
11. Molton Brown Hand Soap. I also love their Black Pepper Body Wash.

12. Truffle Oil, yummy on eggs sunday morning. Even better with #13.
13. Fresh squeezed OJ. If you cant find that, Valencia Orange Juice is awesome!
14. Put a sheepskin rug in your closet- it feels awesome on your bare feet when you are getting dressed. They sell them at Ikea for 20 bucks.

15. A jumpsuit- 1 piece and you are ready to go.
16. Raybans- any style will do and you will look cool and current no matter what.

17. Scarves!!!!!! This is literally a NYC obsession. Perfect for any weather, snuggly even in summer – indoors with freezing AC. The $5 ones sold at street corners are the best.
18. Plants, buy any plant, pot it and freshen up your house. Even if you do end up killing the plant (as so many of us do) it will definitely last longer than cut flowers.
19. Buy the best Extra Virgin Olive Oil you can afford.
20. Sirius Radio- I love you Howard!
21. Fiji water bottle holders- yep, the silver ones you see in restaurants. One sad fact of NYC living is that you will always be parched at night. Forced Air is horrible, but keep these awesome water bottle holders by your bed and you will never forget to refill them. Love the original style or the bamboo.
22. Blank Jeans- These babies are so basic, skinny and affordable and keep their shape through tens of wearings. Available @ Intermixonline.com
23. NY Times Weekender. Cup of coffee and the paper on the weekend. Nothing better.
24. The Oral B Pulsar. Why move your hand back and forth when you can just hold it there and let the water stream over your face?
25. iPhone. The best thing I own. ‘Nuff said.
